Safety Management & Training

Compliance & commitment

Inland-Gulf Maritime is committed to the health, safety and environmental awareness of our employees and subcontractors. Safety is the number one priority  for all of our operations. Adherence to the industry standards set forth by federal, state, local and client safety management systems, as well as USCG and OSHA guidelines, and our own Health & Safety manual and Safe Practices manual, is a primary concern to the management team , and demonstrates an  important commitment that reduces the risk and cost associated with marine work.

Safety Management System

IGM’s Safety Management System has been developed with a commitment to eliminate, reduce or mitigate risks associated with working in a hazardous marine environment. Our safety record is exemplary; IGM had no reportable incidents for the duration of the Deepwater Horizon MC252 spill response, and our safety management system and vessel safety management program were approved by Agency Bureau Veritas for incorporation into the BP spill response safety management system without further review.  In addition, our safety program is pending certification for ISO 9000 and OSHA 18001 standards.
